Direct Regular Course 14
Lt Col UI Ja'afaru assumed office as the 16th Registrar of the Nigerian Army College of Environmental Science and Technology Makurdi, Benue State on 8 April 2024. A native of Doma Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, he was commissioned as a member of Direct Regular Course 14 and has since served the Nigerian Army with distinction across multiple educational and administrative capacities.
His distinguished military career encompasses diverse roles including Instructor at the Nigerian Military School Zaria, Principal of NAOWA Vocational Training Centre Ojo Lagos, Lecturer at the Nigerian Army College of Education Ilorin, and Brigade Education Officer with 13 Brigade at Akim Barracks Calabar. He has also served as Acting Commandant at Command Science and Technical Secondary School Rinze-Akwanga and Command Science School Lafia, both in Nasarawa State, before his appointment as Chief Instructor Education at the Nigerian Military School Zaria and subsequently Acting Registrar of the College till date. As Registrar, Lt Col Ja'afaru executes his duties in accordance with the Federal Polytechnic Act, bringing to bear his extensive experience in military education and administration.
The Registrar's academic journey began in his home state of Nasarawa, where he received his foundational education at Andoma Primary School in Doma (serving as Head Boy in 1987). He proceeded to Government Secondary School Doma and later completed his secondary education at Government Science Secondary School Kuru in Plateau State in 1993.
