About the School

The School of Environmental Studies provides professional training in the design, planning, and management of the built and natural environment. It offers programmes in Architectural Technology, Building Technology, Estate Management & Valuation, Quantity Surveying, Urban & Regional Planning, and Surveying & Geo-Informatics. The school's mission is to produce environmentally responsible graduates capable of solving real-world spatial, construction, and sustainability challenges.

Departments

Architectural Technology

The Department of Architectural Technology develops students' creative and technical abilities in architectural design and spatial drafting.

Building Technology

This department prepares students to plan, design, and supervise building projects and construction technology.

Quantity Surveying

This department equips students with skills in cost estimation, project finance, and contract administration.

Surveying & Geo-Informatics

The Department of Surveying and Geo-Informatics teaches land measurement, cartography, geographic information systems, and spatial data mapping.

Urban & Regional Planning

The Department of Urban and Regional Planning focuses on sustainable development, land use planning, and management of urban settlements.
